Cycle Training Using Quiet Roads
  • Level: intermediate
  • Cost: free
  • Duration: two hours
  • Type: small group 

Course overview:

  • ·       Making short road journeys safely
  • ·       Cycling alongside traffic and other road users
  • ·       Passing parked cars and crossing side roads
  • ·       Riding with other people
  • ·       Making turns at junctions

Course format:

  • ·       Two qualified instructors will deliver the course.
  • ·       The course will be held in a traffic-free outdoor space before moving onto quiet neighbourhood roads.
  • ·       Bring your own bike and helmet if you’d like to wear one, or we can provide if needed.
  • ·       This is a group course and there will be other participants also gaining confidence cycling on quiet roads. Minimum number of participants is usually six and maximum is 12.
  • ·       For ages 12+ (participants aged 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times).
