Basic Maintenance
  • Level: beginner
  • Cost: £10 (subsidised)
  • Duration: two hours
  • Type: small group

 Course overview:

  • ·       Checking and adjusting parts of a bike
  • ·       Fixing punctures

Course format:

  • ·       One qualified instructor will deliver the course in an outdoor location.
  • ·       We’ll provide tools and equipment for you to practice with. Bring your own bike, or we can provide if needed.
  • ·       This is a group course and there will be other participants also learning basic bike maintenance. Minimum number of participants is usually three and maximum is six.
  • ·       For ages 12+ (participants aged 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times).

Important:

·       E-bikes and bikes with hydraulic brakes are welcome however they are often more complex than a standard bike and the instructor may not be able to address all areas of maintenance in this course.
